In the early years of the Republic of China, villager Liu Feng leads a crowd up a mountain to dig. Unexpectedly, they awaken a massive snake that had been sleeping for a hundred years. During the villager’s attempts to escape, only Liu Feng survives. A few days later, the elders in the village begin to hold sacrificial activities to ward off the giant snake.
